| NANCYE:  With only a couple of hours to buy all our gifts for the folks back home, we had to move fast. Prakash Then Sammy, who we called “The World’s Best Guide,” went with Robert and me to look for other gifts. I thought Indian toys would be nice, but the toys stores are filled with American toys. Finally, we found all our gifts and returned to the van just in time. After lunch we went to pack. All week long I had purposefully not thought about this time for I knew it would be hard to leave Nagpur. We had tea downstairs with Pastor & Mrs. Thorat before one last walk to the dining house for light supper. Soon we were heading to the airport. How could so much happen in just one week? We know we will never forget Nagpur or Peace of Life Church or Pastor & Mrs. Thorat or Kevin. Our lives have been enriched forever because of being in that place at that time. How will we ever forget Pastor Thakur and his church or the dear older Christian couple in the village or the Evangelist or the Nursery School ladies or any of the other good people we met during that week? |
