Rev. Thorat asked me to speak and I told the people what a privilege it was to be invited to India, that we love the
people of India, and are praying for them. I told them that when I was little like those children, I loved my father. He
was good to me and gave me many things. When I was still young, he left me. He died and I was sad. But thank God,
I had a Heavenly Father who would take care of me and never leave me. I said, "You can have this same Father, if
you will believe and trust in Him."

NANCYE:  Village children had crowded all around us and the men stood to the side watching intently. I told them
that we too had been under British rule and the people of our country had been very sad. Then our country had
received freedom and the people were happy. I said, "I celebrate your Republic Day with you!"  "Yet, even though
we were free from British rule," I told them, "I was in bondage, but Jesus Christ set me free."

ROBERT:  Brother Joe Duininck then gave a simple Gospel message and many children responded to receive
Jesus. We prayed for some sick people and went inside the Nursery School for tea. Then one at a time three men
came in for prayer. One had a pain in his back. After prayer for his back, he was born again. The second man had a
badly injured leg from an accident. After prayer for healing, he also confessed Jesus. A third man, unsaved but hwo
had been allowing meetings in his home, came for prayer and received his salvation.

Rhema Mission Trip to India 1998
The Nursery School
ROBERT:  Monday, January 26th (1998) - India's Republic Day (or Independence Day). Many shops are closed and
the people, especially the children, are dressed in their finest colorful clothing. Most carry little green, white and
orange Indian flags.

After breakfast, Pastor & Mrs. Thorat, Brother Abhay, Rev. & Mrs. Duininck, Nancye and I went to one of the
villages. The Nursery School there is operated by The Lord's Delight Ministries and has 72 students. The Hindu
temple is just across the road.

The children of the Nursery School presented a Cultural Program. The village people crowded around to watch the
children present colorful dances and their pledge of allegiance to India.
This couple's little girl attends the Nursery School.
Mrs. Amy Duininck told them she had
received a treasure. She put on a shiny
golden crown, a beautiful robe and held
a bright golden staff, explaining that
she had been made a princess and had
been given power. She said that when
we receive Jesus as our Savior and
Lord, we become Children of the King.
